Primary Batteries

History and Use

Lithium metal based batteries first made their appearance in commercial markets in the 1970's. They are often referred to as disposable batteries. The maximum single cell voltage that they offer is just under 3.7V and they are not-rechargeable. These batteries are the perfect choice for applications requiring longer shelf-life, higher capacity, and higher power. They are also advantageous when operating in extreme temperature environments (both cold and hot) or when recharging facilities are not available.
